How it works?

Placing IP

Cf will be delivered to the clinical site. After configuration and device setting, authorised personnel can place the IPs into the fridge. The system detects IP and its IVRS number and saves the compartment in which the package was placed.

IP dispensing

IP dispensing can be performed either by using the device panel or the web app. After the IP is taken out, the status is changed and the event is saved in the log.

Access cards

Each authorised person has its own access card that allows him to open the fridge. This provides safety and keeps unauthorised personal to open the fridge.

Error handling

Clinical fridge is constantly monitoring the temperature and alarm personnel if it is reaching to the critical value. Algorithms enable device to detect whether the dispensed IP matches the one that is requested. In case of a mismatch, fridge alarms the user about an error.

IP view

System provides user with intuitive view of the drawers and IP list with its status. That allows to monitor circulation of the IP from Clinical Site and CRA perspective. Every action is saved in the log that can be accessed remotely through web app system.

Virtual Monitor Integration

Clinical Fridge delivers the most value while its integrated with Virtual Monitor (VM) system. VM is a system that aids safe remote monitoring of the clinical trials and facilitates supervision of the study as a whole. System is designed to lower time and cost of the study maintaining safety issues and intuitiveness for the user.

Nowadays, most of the storage devices in clinical trials are standard fridges without any safety or monitoring features.

Clinical staff have to make temperature logs by hand daily. IP packages lay unorganised on shelves and mixed with various trials' IPs. Our research showed that several human errors are currently generated, such as the administration of the wrong IP or missed fridge malfunction that causes high costs.CF, through specially designed technology, including innovative hardware and software, provides several features that solve current solutions' problems.

The device can monitor not only the temperature but also IPs circulation. CF consist of containers that allows user to organise IP storage and automatically detects IP's IVRS number. Therefore, CF understands which IP is assigned to each patient. An appropriate container glows to show the user which compartment needs to be opened before the patient visit. Smart fridge has an early warning system that alerts the user if the temperature reaches the critical temperature. The system can save millions of dollars by preventing fridge malfunction and the time required for handling IP and its monitoring.

CF is dedicated to the Sponsors, Clinical Research Organisations (CROs) and Clinical Sites. CS aims to support clinical trials throughout the study but can also be used as a regular fridge with higher safety features than standard equipment.
